Students of Saptak School of Music
The Saptak Ensemble was conceived by Vidushi Manju Mehta. Over several years, she conceptualised and composed numerous innovative ensembles in thoughtful and creative formats. This particular ensemble was her final conceptualised work and is unique in its blending of instrumental, vocal, and percussion music. This ensemble not only consists of students but also includes faculty members of the Saptak School of Music. The ensemble features Harshit Mehta, Vedant Rawal, Kashvee Vora, Jiya Mistry, Nidhi Barot, Vidhee Pandya, Himali Mehta, Daivaxi Pandit, Dwij Namjoshi, Nikunj Modi, Sharanya Gupta, Harshad Dolasiya, Pravin Sonara, and Virali Amin on vocals; Pratima Anandjiwala, Kamini Desai, Varsha Gandhi, Vinita Shukla, Amla Shah, and Deepsikha Jain on sitar; Dipal Mehta on flute; Anuj Anjaria on santoor; and Drashti Jain on violin. The ensemble is accompanied by Hemant Bhatt on pakhawaj and Sapan Anjaria, Chirag Paradia, and Yashmit Khombhadia on tabla.
